Nothing makes me happier than seeing people’s lives made better especially by the work we do at my non-profit, Platinum Intervention
I had tears in eyes today when my project manager sent me these pictures. We have officially completed the installation of 40 access ramps at a rural government primary school, Abdu Zanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
In addition, we donated a wheelchair to one of the mobility challenged students, Aisha. She was so excited and absolutely loved her chair. Her father and teachers were happy and full of gratitude.
I’m so happy I’m achieving my dream of ensuring inclusive spaces and equal access to education and training for persons with disabilities even in rural communities. I’m completely humbled and grateful.
A big thank you to WE ARE FAMILY FOUNDATION for sponsoring this project. The entire project was tagged DIGITAL INCLUSION FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS WITH DISABILITIES 2021.
The first phase had us going into rural communities in Benue State to enrol women with disabilities in ICT centers where they gained useful skills to help them engage and run businesses online. We also donated mobility aids to them.
This officially wraps up this particular project. It has been a long, arduous but rewarding experience for me and my team. Special appreciation goes to my project manager Oche Chris Eche. You continue to sacrifice and invest in the lives of persons with disabilities working efficiently to make each project a success. Thank you so much!
We are changing humanity one community at a time!!🙏🙏
